End of the world?

Unlike some people I don't believe in Maya calendar and the end of the world. However I tried to imagine what if it was really true and we had less than one year left to live? How would I like to spend this year?
If I had a lot of money I would spend this year travelling around the globe. I would visit Africa, Asia, Australia, Americas, every country possible. Try all the local food and didn't spend time on doing pictures - there's no one to look at them in the future.

Since I don't have that much money to do the plan A, I would have to think about something else. I would have spent couple of months somewhere in the south, where the weather is really hot, the sea is always light blue and I can sleep on the beach in a tent. I would read a lot of books about everything and write my thoughts. Ok, there's no one to read them later again, but those would be more personal ones. Then I would come back home and spend as much time as possible with people I love and care about. I would definitely stop studying at the university since there's no sence in getting education. I would have done a lot of crazy stuff. I would not think a minute when I am asked to come to UK for a weekend, I would not think how my parents can react on me dropping the education and going somewhere. I would spend time with them as well.
I would do everythig I ever wanted.

Then the next thought crossed my mind, after discussing this with my L. - why can we do whatever we want only if we know that the end of the world is near? Why are we planning to live till our old days? We can die any moment and every day can be the last one, it's sad, but true.

Since it's the last day of the year, I would like to finish this post by making a wish. I wish everyone to listen to the heart and to do whatever it takes to fullfill the dreams you have. Don't wait for undefinite "someday".

каникулы.

В школе было как-то иначе. все знали, что на последней неделе перед каникулами учёбы нет практически никакой. поэтому организм постепенно успевал подготовиться к отдыху. А теперь - последние 2 недели были настолько жёсткими, что это резко наступившее свободное время вгоняет в странное состояние прострации. Вроде бы и времени много, и дел много, а сосредоточиться и начать что-то делать очень сложно. 

а ещё я очень скучаю, а увидимся мы только в январе или феврале :(

зато каникулы :)

Работа, работа...

За 2 дня наткнулась на 2 вещи, которые полностью характеризуют мою работу. Поняла, что у меня тоже начало формироваться понятие специфического "профессионального юмора". Правда мой юмор наверное не всем будет понятен. 

Итак номер один в нашем коротком хит-параде это цитата, честно скопированная с bash.org.ru:

Номер 2 это 6-ой эпизод 23-го сезона Симпсонов. Да, я всё ещё их смотрю.
